  • Paper-II – The next exam is English, and it is for 300 marks. It is a qualifying exam: its marks are not counted in the merit list, but it is essential to clear it. This also includes similar topics as Modern Indian Language. The main motive behind this exam is to check the candidate’s ability to express their ideas clearly in English and Indian Language.
  • Paper III – Essay – This exam is for 250 marks. You can attempt this paper in English or Hindi. You will need to write an essay on the given topic; there will be a choice, and you can pick any topic as per your interest and knowledge.
  • Paper IV – General Studies – This exam is for 250 marks. The major topics you will have to study to clear this exam are geography and the history of the world, and Indian heritage and culture.
  • Paper V – General Studies II – It is for 250 marks, and the major topics you need to study for this exam are Constitution, Governance, Polity, and Social Justice and International Relations.
  • Paper VI – General Studies III – It is for 250 marks. The topics it comprises are Biodiversity, technology, environment, Security & Disaster Management.
  • Paper VII – General Studies IV – This exam is also for 250 marks. It would be best if you studied Integrity, Ethics, and Aptitude.
  • Paper VIII – Optional Subject – This is an optional subject; it is also for 250 marks. You can select any subject as they have various options, but make sure that you choose the subject that you are good at.
